Die neue Gravity-Griffserie GFR1 wurde punktgenau nach den Vorstellungen und Wünschen von Tahnée Seagrave (Team FMD) und ihren Teamkollegen entwickelt und abgestimmt. Die Entwickler von Ergon arbeiten immer sehr eng mit Athleten und Teams zusammen und nur so ist es möglich, Griffe für die Verwendung im Grenzbereich zu designen. Für maximales Feedback ist der Griff schlank ausgeführt, bietet aber durch die oben liegenden Lamellen extrem viel Dämpfung im Bereich der Handinnenfläche. Die untere Gripzone (Finger) ist besonders stark ausgeprägt, um die Greifkräfte beim Hochziehen des Vorderrades zu minimieren. Der Innenstopp verbessert zusätzlich die schnelle Positionsfindung der Hand und gewährleistet volle Bedienbarkeit der Schalthebel. Durch die hochfeste Innenklemme aus Aluminium bleibt der Griff selbst bei Carbonlenkern verdrehsicher.
