Der Autor besuchte mehrmals dieses einzigartige Kulturdenkmal, ein "Muss" für jeden Jordanien-Besucher und machte eindrucksvolle Bilder von den Grabtempeln und außergewöhnlichen Monumentalfassaden der Nabatäer. Der um die Zeitenwende entstandene Tempel Ed Deir steht 200 Meter oberhalb des einstigen Zentrums und gilt nach dem Schatzhaus als zweitwichtigstes Bauwerk von Petra.
