Like its predecessors, the Lava Color is made from Visconti's well known and much treasured, lava rock; making the pen virtually unbreakable and very comfortable to write with.
We are delighted to announce the launch of the highly anticipated Homo Sapiens Lava Color collection, Visconti's latest addition to the iconic Homo Sapiens series. Visconti re-interprets their flagship pen line with color, a more modern image and a new in-house 14kt gold nib.
Like its predecessors, the Lava Color is made from Visconti's well-known and much treasured, lava rock; making the pen virtually unbreakable and very comfortable to write with. The Lava Color collection is the perfect union of catalyzed Mount Etna basaltic lava and colored resin using Visconti's patented methods. This natural combination creates a rugged stone-like feel and texture with rustic natural colors. The collection is launched in three matte finishes: Blizzard (white), Inferno (red) and Sandstorm (tan), each pen is accented by black ruthenium trim. The volcanic material features an anti-stain treatment that protects the pen and prevents ink from depositing on the pen during refilling.
Each finish is available in fountain pen, rollerball and ballpoint. The rollerball and fountain pen feature an exclusive magnetic closing system which makes opening and closing the pen effortless. The ballpoint operates with a twist. Identical to previous Homo Sapiens models, the fountain pen fills with Visconti's patented power filling system.
'In-house' 18kt Gold Nib
The new collection introduces a first from Visconti, a new in-house, 18kt gold oversized nib. The new nib has been engraved with a more contemporary design, but in keeping with tradition Visconti continue with a crescent moon shaped breather hole, a distinctive feature of Visconti's precious nibs. Each nib is hand polished and entirely made in-house: The nib, feed and housing; consequently the entire pen is produced in Florence. Each nib is plated in black ruthenium to match the color of the pens trim. Available in EF, F, M, B, and Stub widths.

My new favorite hoodie!

I love this, this is my new go-to hoodie! It's very soft and breathable, it's roomy and comfortable, and it's not too heavy. I've washed it a few times and it's held up well. For the price, you really can't go wrong. I'll probably end up buying a couple more colors.

Sleeves are too short

Good quality about as thick as heavy t shirt. The only issue is the sleeves are a tad short which is a bit disappointing. Not sure I will buy this again. I’m 5-7 175 and ordered a large and it fits well. Just a smidge oversized like I prefer.

Lightweight and comfortable

Lightweight yet warm. Bought an XL for my husband who is 6’ 2”, weighs about 180 lbs, and has long arms. Fits a bit loose but not too big but have to size up so the length in the arms fit better. He runs warm so dislikes anything that makes him hot, so this material was great. Did not discolor or shrink in the wash, which was a bonus.

Hubby is quite happy with this hoodie

We live in warmer climes, so DH wanted a pullover hoodie that was more like t-shirt material. This is fantastic- it's like a well-made t-shirt - like a thicker, better quality tee. He loves it. The fit was just right. There was no fading in the wash - I always wash clothes in cold water though, so ymmv. He was happy with the color I chose. When cool weather rolls around again, I will add some other colors to his collection - perfect lightweight pullover for him.
