Ai Hasegawa is the eldest of the three sisters who are the stars of the Hasegawa hobby shop's second store. She learned from her father from a young age, and devoted herself to model making, honing her skills, and her work is often featured in model magazines. After coming of age, she was appointed manager of the second branch, where she runs the business with her other sisters. She had been recreating her beloved Midnight Rose car in plastic model form, but her passion grew to the point where she made her racing debut with a real car.
