INTRODUCTION:

Welcome to the Prepare & Conduct Stocktakes for Inventory Control course. This course only includes a challenge assessment designed to assess your knowledge and skills required to demonstrate competence in preparing for and conducting stocktakes by confirming scope and systems, allocating and sequencing work across zones, applying risk controls, counting and verifying stock accurately, and then documenting, reporting and reconciling results in line with workplace procedures and inventory control requirements.

Preparing and conducting stocktakes for inventory control involves completing structured counting and verification activities that ensure inventory records accurately reflect physical stock on hand. Stocktakes can involve full counts or cyclical counts and are completed within defined work zones, schedules and system requirements, often while normal operations continue. This work is important because inventory accuracy underpins ordering decisions, customer service reliability, warehouse efficiency and financial integrity, and because unaddressed variances can lead to stockouts, overstocking, shrinkage, mispicks and operational disruption.

The course assessment focuses on your ability to confirm stocktake scope, prepare the resources needed to complete the count, and work within allocated tasks, zones and procedures to achieve an accurate result within the planned schedule. You will be required to demonstrate how you identify hazards and implement risk controls prior to and during stocktake activities, and how you verify inventory data and apply appropriate counting methods so results are reliable, traceable and suitable for inventory control decision-making.

By successfully completing this course assessment, you will have demonstrated that you can confirm stocktake scope and system requirements, prepare resources and work allocations appropriately, manage hazards and apply risk controls, complete accurate counts using approved methods, verify system data and identify variances, document and report discrepancies correctly, relocate and correct stock location issues safely, reconcile inventory records to physical stock using workplace processes, complete and secure documentation with required sign-off, maintain housekeeping and safe work practices throughout stocktake activities, and respond to operational contingencies effectively—confirming your readiness to prepare and conduct stocktakes for inventory control.

11. Identify stock stored in inappropriate locations, relocate goods safely, and adjust stock records as required.

12. Reconcile inventory data to match warehouse stock using approved reconciliation techniques and workplace processes.

13. Complete stocktake documentation accurately, ensure correct record management, and obtain required sign-off from relevant personnel.

Great design for a kitchen sink organizer -- will not tip or accumulate water
We've had an Oxo kitchen sink organizer for years, and it's been fine, except 1) tall brushes (for example, Oxo brushes) make it tippy, stray elbows or imperfect placement of the brush would knock it into the sink and 2) it built up a soapy sludge in the bottom that that had to be drained and wiped down constantly. This item solves both issues perfectly. Likes: Size - I think it's about 5 inches deep, which is just right to fit the strip of countertop that runs behind the sink, up against the backsplash Weight - The drying stone in the bottom gives the baskets some real heft, so there is no tipping it over by bumping a brush handle -- it really stays put Drying stone -- The diatomaceous drying stone that slides into the bottom of the main basket is a great idea. These are porous stones that will absorb water and then allow it to evaporate fairly quickly. So far, it seems to be doing its job well. I'm sure the stone will need a wipe down now and then to stay clean, but no puddles of sludgy soapy water in the bottom is a big plus Overall Design/Build quality -- The unit seems solid. It's a simple design, but there are no sharp edges or unfinished bits. Once in place it doesn't wobble a bit. I wasn't sure about the black powder-coated finish, but installed it looks clean and it's unobtrusive. I appreciate that the smaller basket for tall brushes sits on hooks and can be hung inside or outside the main basket. Ours sits inside, but there's plenty of room left over for sponges . And there's still room to stand up a bottle of liquid detergent or counter-top spray. NOT SO LIKES Nothing so far. I notice a lot of this style of sink organizer on Amazon, so presumably they're selling well. It's a great improvement over the older kinds. Five big, clean, well-organized stars. Highly recommended.
