Favorite Things: Mature reef or FOWLR aquariums with plenty of live rock, calm tankmates, and stable water conditions. Copperbands use their long, narrow snout to pick through crevices for worms, pods, and small invertebrates. Once acclimated, they readily take frozen mysis, clam strips, and enriched brine shrimp.
Best Buddies: Peaceful tankmates such as tangs, wrasses, gobies, anthias, and clowns. Avoid aggressive species (large angels, triggers) that may outcompete them for food. May nip at feather dusters and small worms but generally considered one of the safer butterfly species for reefs if well-fed.
