Commercial-Grade Storage with Stand Included

When your harvest grows beyond what a small tank can hold, it's time to step up. The OZ ARMOUR 100 KG Honey Tank SS304 is built for serious sideliners and commercial beekeepers who need more capacity, better ergonomics, and the same uncompromising food-grade quality that's made our stainless steel honey storage range a favourite of Australian apiarists. With its integrated stand, 0.60mm thick SS304 construction, precision metal honey gate, and optional double filters, it's the upgrade path for beekeepers ready to scale.

This tank holds 100 kg of honey (80 litres by volume) — a full season's harvest from one or two productive hives — and comes with a built-in stand for ergonomic bucket-filling height. It uses the same hygienic SS304 stainless steel trusted by commercial honey processors worldwide. Choose the variant with optional double-layer filters (one coarse, one fine) for crystal-clear honey ready to bottle straight from the tank.

Why Upgrade to the 100 KG Tank?

If you're processing more than 60–80 kg per harvest or running multiple hives, the 100 kg tank makes a real difference. The bigger capacity means fewer batches to manage, less time spent emptying and refilling smaller tanks, and better workflow during the rush of extraction season. The included stand (an optional extra on smaller tanks) raises the honey gate to comfortable bucket-filling height — saving your back and making jar-filling significantly faster. For sideliners managing 20–50+ hives, this is the natural step up from a 50 kg tank.

100 KG vs 50 KG — Which Is Right for Me?

Both tanks share the same SS304 construction, metal honey gate, and lockable lid. The differences are:

  • Capacity: 100 kg vs 50 kg — double the honey per batch
  • Dimensions: The 100 kg tank is wider and shorter (37 cm × 47 cm vs 32.5 cm × 57 cm)
  • Stand: Included with the 100 kg tank (optional extra on the 50 kg)
  • Price difference: Only $30 more than the 50 kg — outstanding value uplift if you can use the extra capacity

Choose the 50 kg if you process 30–60 kg per batch and want a more compact tank. Choose the 100 kg if you process 60–100 kg per batch, run a sideliner operation, or want the extra capacity and included stand for a marginal extra cost.

Why the Included Stand Matters

The integrated stand is one of the biggest practical advantages of the 100 kg tank. It raises the honey gate to ergonomic bucket-filling height, letting you place a 20L honey bucket directly underneath without bending, propping, or improvising. After a long extraction day, this is the kind of detail that saves your back, saves time, and makes the whole workflow more enjoyable. Beekeepers who buy the 50 kg tank often add the optional stand anyway — with the 100 kg version, it's built in.

Should I Add the Double Filters?

Suppose you bottle honey for sale or want consistently clean honey, absolutely yes. The optional double-layer stainless steel filters — one coarse, one fine — fit seamlessly onto the tank and strain honey twice as it pours in. The coarse layer catches wax fragments, propolis bits, and the occasional bee remnant; the fine layer catches smaller particles for crystal-clear, retail-ready honey. The result is honey ready to bottle directly into jars without further filtering — a major time-saver for sideliners and farmers' market sellers. Skip the filters if you prefer raw, lightly-strained honey for personal use.

Why SS304 Stainless Steel?

SS304 is the global gold standard for food-grade storage. It's non-reactive (won't taint your honey's flavour), corrosion-resistant (won't rust or pit), hygienic and easy to sanitise (smooth surfaces prevent bacterial growth), and incredibly durable (a well-cared-for SS304 tank can last 30+ years). Compared to plastic alternatives — which degrade, scratch, and absorb odours — stainless steel is the only material serious beekeepers should consider for long-term honey storage.

How Does the Honey Gate Work?

The precision metal honey gate at the base of the tank gives you clean, controlled dispensing with absolutely no drips. Open it to pour honey directly into buckets, jars, or bottling containers; close it for a complete drip-free seal even under the weight of 100 kg of honey. The metal construction means the gate won't crack, warp, or wear out the way plastic gates can. After hundreds of harvest cycles, it still works exactly as well as the day it arrived.

Who Is This Tank For?

This tank is built for serious sideliners and small commercial beekeepers. It's ideal for sideliners running 20–50+ hives wanting bigger-batch processing, commercial honey producers needing reliable, food-grade bulk storage, queen breeders and apiary operators managing larger seasonal harvests, beekeeping co-operatives sharing equipment, and farmers' market sellers who process and bottle larger volumes for retail. If you're still in hobby territory with one or two hives, the 50 kg tank may suit you better.

Perfect for protein shakes and coffee - one warning about getting it wet
Color: Black, Size: normal
Bought this to replace a similar handheld whisk I had been using for protein shakes and stirring extras into my morning coffee. At this price point I was not expecting much, and it has done exactly what I need - with one warning I will get to. I use this almost every morning. Two jobs: mixing a scoop of whey protein into water or milk so it actually dissolves (no clumps stuck to the side of the shaker), and stirring pre-workout powder or a flavor additive into my coffee. This is not a blender and I do not treat it like one. For small-volume mixing of powders into liquid, it is the right tool. WHAT WORKS - It does not over-froth or whip air into the drink. Some handheld whisks turn a protein shake into a foam mess. This one keeps the liquid liquid - it just dissolves the powder. That is the main reason I came back to this category. - No splashing, even with the cup near the brim. I can stir a nearly-full coffee mug without flicking liquid onto the counter. The previous one I owned could not do this. - One button. Runs as long as I hold it. A typical protein shake or coffee mix takes under ten seconds. - Easy to hand-wash. Rinse the whisk end, wipe the handle, back in the drawer. WHAT DOES NOT (the warning) - You cannot throw the whole thing in the sink with the rest of the dishes. The handle is not waterproof. We made this mistake exactly once - it got soaked, never worked again. At this price the loss was not a big deal, but it is the one thing I wish the listing made more obvious. Hand-clean the whisk end only, keep the handle dry. - Battery-powered. Replace the batteries when it starts feeling slow rather than waiting for it to fully die mid-shake. WHO IT IS FOR If you need a small-volume mixer for protein powder, coffee, hot chocolate, pre-workout, or anything where you are dissolving a powder into a single cup or shaker, this is the tool. If you want to blend smoothies or actually break down ingredients, buy a real immersion blender instead. Five stars. The wet-handle failure was my mistake, not the product's. Doing its job every morning - would buy again.

$7 value
Color: Black, Size: normal
Works wonderfully if the liquid you’re blending has no viscosity, but it slows down brutally if given any kind of resistance. It’s small and lightweight and very easy to use. Works for my bloom, but it does not work very well for my protein shakes.

My Matcha Frother
Color: Silver, Color: Silver
I recently started making matcha tea at home and opted for a milk frother instead of the bamboo hand whisk that is traditionally used for matcha, due to health issues. I have a connective tissue disorder and early osteoarthritis and need to protect my wrists, so the hand whisk would be risky for my daily matcha habit. The Vomelon frother is perfect for mixing up my matcha tea powder into my water or almond milk while saving my joints from further damage. I liked the included cover for this model, and the large on/off button on the top of the device. Other models have their switches and buttons placed in odd places that could be awkward for me. I have trouble pushing this device's button with my thumb, even though it seems designed to be done this way, so I typically use my index finger to switch it on and off. This works well for me. You don't have to hold the button while it's on - it stays on until you turn it off - so that helps. The two coil attachments are nice, too. The single coil one does a decent job, but the triple coil really blends up well, and froths up my almond milk into a airy, frothy cup rather quickly, if that's what I'm going for. It uses 3 AAA batteries, and I worried they would get used up with daily use, but I have been using mine daily for about a minute or so each day (I blend my matcha, then rinse off by blending clean water and then spin dry before I store it) every day for about a month now and it's still going strong on the original batteries. I am ready with spares for whenever they peter out, though. I checked the battery chamber to make sure I knew how to switch them out, and it's very easy. They are stacked in the end of the device, so you just twist off the end and slide out. There is a holder for the 3 batteries, so you pop them out/in and just slide it back into the main housing and twist it back on. The +/-indicators show which way to place them. I believe it's 2 one way and one the opposite way. The attachments simply hold onto the spinning bit with tiny grooves in the spinner that fit snugly. They don't click into place or anything, but I have had no trouble with them feeling loose or anything while in use, as long as they are fully in place. Just slide them all the way in and you'll be fine. Overall, this works well for my matcha tea and milk frothing needs. I tried it once with an egg to see how well it scrambled, but I used the single coil attachment and it seemed to slow down a lot in the gooey egg viscosity, so I can't say I would recommend it for scrambling eggs, especially if you are doing more than one at a time. However, I only tried once and only with the smaller, single coil attachment. You may have better luck with it if that's what you're looking to use it for. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

Great whisk, but stop changing the whisk design or sell extras
Color: Silver
Overall, I really like this frother. It’s my third one from the same brand. (They last about a year but kind of expected for $15.) I like that it comes with multiple whisks, that it can travel, and that the whisks are removable and can be thrown in the dishwasher. As others have pointed out, the batteries it comes with are pretty useless. I didn’t get even one proper whisk out of them. I also wish they wouldn’t change the whisk design every time I purchase. I like having extra whisks and just have to throw the old ones out. I wish these companies would sell extra whisks. Update: after using this for a couple weeks, I really don’t like the design of he new whisk attachments. They’re hard to pull off without sending the tip flying.

Delightful little device now that I've had a practice run with it
Color: Silver
I just picked this up to make my own cappuccino and breve and I must say that I've fallen in love with the thing. My first use was a bit of a misfire owing to my inexperience with it, but the second time worked like a champ. The trick is to ensure that you have plenty of empty head space in the container to develop a good vortex and foam volume while still having a tall enough fluid column to keep the mixing head mostly submerged while generating the vortex. My first attempt involved using about half a cup of half and half in a small saucepan. I had more than enough head space, but I was only barely able to keep the mixing head (it comes with two: a single turn coil and a 3-turn coil of coil) submerged and that went poorly, leaving me with a bit of a mess to clean up on my rangetop as the lack of fluid column ended up slinging the fluid around and out of the saucepan. The second attempt went far better, as I transferred the barely-simmered half and half back into the Pyrex two-cup mixing cup in which i initially measured the 4 fl. oz. This time it worked beautifully. There was just enough unfoamed column height to keep the mixing head well covered prior to powering up and it just barely kept me sufficiently covered while powered up to maintain a very vigorous yet controlled vortex. This method also had the advantage of telling me exactly how much total foamed volume I had generated. The resulting breve had a wonderfully thick and frothy head in my mug and resulted in a delightfully topped beverage which, if anything, had a bit too much foam and a bit too little liquid. That's on me, however, since I wanted to get a feel for the device under better conditions to build my own experience; I'll just run the frother for less time next time. Cleanup of the device itself is quite easy: simply detach the mixing head and shaft from the motor base and rinse. I always hand-wash my dishes, so I'm not in a good position to speak to its machine wash compatibility, but I suspect that it would come out just fine, provided that care is taken not to bend the shaft or coil head out of shape. The device itself is small enough to fit in a purse and should travel quite nicely, though you'll need to commit to a single mixing head, which will almost certainly turn out to be the smaller one. It's really nice to be able to make cappuccino/breve at home any time I see fit now. It's going to make a well-loved addition to my kitchen.
