The SpongeBob SquarePants x Nike Kyrie 5 “Squidward” is dedicated to Bikini Bottom’s most bitter resident, Mr. Squidward Tentacles. The clarinet-playing octopus receives his own version of the Kyrie 5 as a part of the fun collaboration between the hit Nickelodeon television show and Nike Basketball on Kyrie Irving’s 5th signature model. Specific to the “Squidward” Kyrie 5 model is a Frosted Spruce mesh upper with colorful contrasts of turquoise on the Swoosh, Nike branding on the heel, and eyelets. A darker shade of green accents the laces and parts of the eyelets. The midsole is light blue with brown accents akin to the Krusty Krab cashier’s brown polo shirt. A turquoise and purple traction outsole complete the look. The SpongeBob SquarePants x Nike Kyrie 5 “Squidward” was released on August 10th, 2019.
