Application
These cartridges are designed for the Essential and Optimal Whole House Filter Systems. These systems are installed at the main water supply line into the house, if you have either 1″ or 3/4″ pipes connection.
Each filter should last up to 12 months. This will depend on the water usage over that time and the condition of your water source. So, the filter may have to be replaced sooner.
These filters do not remove fluoride. Fluoride can be removed (mostly) when used in conjunction with the UltraStream – the world’s most advanced water filter unit. The UltraStream purifies, alkalizes, ionizes and infuses the water with molecular hydrogen. Ideally, it would be added in the kitchen for drinking and cooking water.
Filters, Features and Benefits
- Sediment filters remove visible particulate matter, and any particles like dirt, sand, dust, and debris that is caught in the micron-rating fibers. They also remove turbidity from water. Turbidity is the cloudiness caused in water by the heavy presence of suspended solids in the water. Comes in nominal micron (mu) sizes, like 5mu, 10mu, or 20mu etc. With filter sizing as a general rule, the smaller the micron rating for a filter the better. However, there is a trade-off, flow capability usually drops off as the micron rating gets smaller, especially if the water has a lot of sediment.
