Navina Khatib is a German-born visual artist and photographer currently based in Málaga, Spain. She creates layered visual worlds through multiple exposures and collage, merging fragments of reality into poetic new horizons.
In her approach, she explores the dissolution of concreteness, opening up new dimensions through transparent horizons—experimenting with transformation, reproduction, deconstruction, and reconstruction.
Her newest series, “Nostalgia” (2025), is her most personal body of work to date, reflecting on memory, belonging, and the longing to find a place to call home when that feeling has faded or perhaps never truly existed. It also stands as a testament to the many stages and fractured forms of grief.
Navina's work has gained widespread acclaim, with exhibitions in Madrid's Parque El Retiro and commissioned pieces for Mt. Sinai Hospital and Nushama in NYC. Her art has been featured in Lonely Planet, Affinity, Atlas Obscura, Caters News, Frankie, Fisheye Magazine, Artsy & Featureshoot, Time Out NY, and The New York Times.
