A highly recommended model for both aspiring students and professionals, the Buffet R13 has not lost popularity since its conception in 1955. The model was created by Robert Carrée and became the most popular professional clarinet in the world.
The R13 has a poly-cylindrical bore which produces a tone that is focused and rich and allows the player power and projection in all registers.
This clarinet has great flexibility to be played across all genres and repertoires. It is a reliable clarinet which is known for its bright sound.
Buffet has been producing clarinets since 1825 and are well respected within the industry. Buffet clarinets are commonplace in orchestras and ensembles across the world.
This clarinet comes complete with a simili leather case with premium velvet interior. Inside it also has a pull through, cork grease, a sample reed, pencil and silver-plated ligature and cap.

Fine but not great
It fit well and looked ok. However the material was thinner and flimsier than I expected. It was quite wrinkled and I couldn’t iron it well without risking melting it due to the polyester content. After ironing for about an hour on low heat it was passable but it was a lot of work to only get a passable result.
