Product: 223-10/20/30/40 (Gray, White Black and Bright Red)

Mix Ratio: 4:1 223 DTM Primer with 223-45 (4 primer 1 hardener) Expect as much as 9 mils in 3 coats 

4:1:1 Traditional build with 223-45 hardener & Revolt 380 series reducer (4 primer 1 hardener 1 reducer ) 

4:1:2 Non sanding sealer with 223-45 hardener & Revolt 380 series reducer (4 primer 1 hardener 2 reducer) 

Number of coats: 1-3 depending on expectations of build 

Products required: 223-xx series primers and 223-45 primer hardener 380 series reducer

Dry Film thickness:

Slightly over 3 mils per coat when mixed 4:1

2 mils when mixed 4:1:1 with reducer 

3/4 of a mil when used as a sealer 4:1:2 with reducer 

Preparation of Substrate: 

Wash the area to be painted with soap and water, then clean with Revolt’s 380-40 Pre Cleaner, or Revolt’s 380-50 Wax & Grease depending on desired process.  

Sand the bare metal areas completely with 80 grit abrasive. (80 grit on metal is required) Sand old finishes with 320 - 400 grit dry by hand or machine or 600 grit wet. 

Re-clean with an appropriate Revolt cleaner.
Prime aluminum substrate within 1 hour of sanding and cleaning. Prime carbon steel immediately after sanding and cleaning.
