Additionally, it detoxifies heavy metals present in tap water. Shrimp Start is non-acidic and will not alter the pH levels. It should be used at the beginning and whenever you are adding or changing water.

DIRECTIONS:
Apply 5mL (1 tsp) for every 20L (5 US gallons) of new water. It can be added directly to the aquarium, but it's more effective when mixed with new water first. If adding directly to the aquarium, adjust the dose according to the aquarium's volume. A sulfur smell is normal. For areas with particularly high chloramine levels, a double dose can be used safely. In emergency situations where nitrite needs detoxifying, up to five times the normal dosage may be applied. If the temperature exceeds 30°C (86°F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use half the usual dose.
