Packing up their family and possessions, they migrated to Barton County, Missouri. There they raised four sons and four daughters, labored to make a living, experienced the wonder of many new inventions, weathered two World Wars, and suffered through the long and difficult years of the Depression. Their dreams were shattered when economic conditions caused them to lose their farm. With the support of their children, they survived and eventually celebrated sixty years of marriage. Their legacy lives on.
