Heuchera 'Southern Comfort' ~ Southern Comfort Coral Bells, HeucheraSouthern Comfort Coral Bells is an evergreen herbaceous perennial with a clumping habit and bold foliage of various colors. The round lobes leaves are a warm cinnamon peach which ages to burnished copper in spring, with a brief stint of turning green in summer before returning to its spring copper that deepens further to amber in fall. Tiny creamy white bell like flowers on tall spires in mid summer attracting butterflies. Best bloom in partial sun

Southern Comfort Coral Bells is an evergreen herbaceous perennial with a clumping habit and bold foliage of various colors.  The round-lobes leaves are a warm cinnamon-peach which ages to burnished copper in spring, with a brief stint of turning green in summer before returning to its spring copper that deepens further to amber in fall.  Tiny creamy white bell-like flowers on tall spires in mid summer attracting butterflies.  Best bloom in partial sun and moist well-drained soils.  Southern Comfort does well in the Southern humidity in summer.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:   Low maintenance.  Hybrid tolerances vary, some can tolerate full sun if mulched and soils consistently moist.  Potential issues include powdery mildew, rust, leaf spot, and frost heaving of roots if winter temperatures fluctuate widely.
