A famous mutant form of Gymnocalycium mihanovichii, known as the "Moon Cactus," lacks chlorophyll and displays vivid colors like red, orange, or yellow. These colorful mutants are commonly grafted onto other cactus species to survive, making them a favorite in ornamental plant collections. Like most Gymnocalyciums, this species prefers bright, indirect light, minimal watering, and well-draining soil.
