Touch Sensitive Records present their third release with Ivor Novello and BAFTA Award-winning modern master of the soundtrack, David Holmes, working in collaboration with composer Brian Irvine. Set in Northern Ireland, directed by Holmes's longtime friends Glenn Leyburn and Lisa Barros D'Sa (Good Vibrations (2012), Cherrybomb (2009)), and written by legendary Irish playwright Owen McCafferty (whom Holmes has known for forty years), the film tells the extraordinary story of Tom (Liam Neeson) and Joan (Lesley Manville) - their life and love as they enter the uncertainty and upset of Joan's cancer diagnosis. In a career rich in highly personal work, Ordinary Love is up there with the most affecting in Holmes's canon. Recorded between Abbey Road and Holmes's own Drama Studio, the soundtrack features input from some of his most trusted collaborators. Holmes states: "I worked on the score with Brian Irvine. He is a longtime friend and the first person I ever had studio experience with 27 years ago. It felt important to work with Brian on this as his father (Ronnie), Owen's father (Gerry) and my father (Jackie) - all now deceased - were great friends through a shared love of Point-to-Point horse racing and their work as bookmakers." With contributions from Holmes's bandmates, Jade Vincent and Keefus Ciancia, who comprise the trio Unloved. Vincent provides a stand-out performance - lending her haunting and smoky vocals to the album's centerpiece and final track - "Isn't It So". The score to Ordinary Love wasn't inspired by any other soundtrack or even musical composition but by a mathematical theory called The Game of Life. Devised by mathematician John Conway in 1970, The Game of Life consists of a collection of cells which, based on a few mathematical rules, can live, die or multiply as the cells form various patterns throughout the course of the game. "Because of the nature of the story, this really spoke to Brian and I in a musical sense and we started to create the score with the notion that the notes in each cue resembled human cells, living and dying as Joan's journey with cancer unfolded." The score uses gentle rhythms and repetition to underline the comfort and balance in Tom and Joan's routine - even though a potentially life-changing event looms over them. The score grounds the listener whilst providing an almost dreamlike blank canvas in which to live and to love.

Absolute LIFESAVER.

A must-buy for any puppy owner that uses potty pads. Our pup still hasn't had all of her parvo boosters and has had to stay inside at all times. She is usually very good about going on her potty pads, but has a terrible habit of grabbing the pad and flinging waste everywhere and tearing the pad itself apart. This potty pad holder is PERFECT. It is sturdy and the grated tray fits in neatly. The dog is unable to get to the puppy pad, no matter how hard she bites or paws at the sides. Believe me, I've seen her try. We bought other puppy pad holders that were cheaper, but she was able to rip the puppy pad out of them easily.
It is also really easy to clean. The plastic can easily be washed with soap and water or sprayed and wiped with antibacterial spray. The potty pad itself usually soaks up all of the urine, so there is never any worry of overflow.
The only critique I have is that the rectangular shape is somewhat a poor design, because most potty pads are square-shaped. This means that the owner has to fold a standard potty pad in order to fit the tray. But this is not a huge problem, as we're still very happy with the product.
Overall, it's worth the money, because now I don't have to worry about cleaning a huge mess, disciplining my pup for the behavior, or any health scares from her eating plastic from the potty pads. We loved the first one so much, that we bought a second one.

Perfect for what we need!

Love this. We have to leave our puppy home alone while we are at work. She’s tiny so I know she can’t hold it in the entire time we’re gone and I knew she would tear up the puppy pads. I came across this and it has been a game changer. She goes right on and does her business. One negative is when she only puts her front paws on and pees while half on the floor but that’s a quirk of the dog. The main negative is that if she poops, it’s sometimes hard to get it up and it gets in the holes. Plus is it’s easy to take apart and hose off. Definitely recommend!

Nice only if it's not warped

I bought three of these, and two are perfectly normal. One is warped like so many other reviewers say, and it is the bane of my existence. The top will not stay on, and when my dog tries to stand on it, it wobbles all over the place. Right now, we have it taped and bungee corded, and it looks ridiculous. I wish I would have returned it when I had the chance, and I really don't want to pay $40 for another, because that's a lot for a piece of plastic.
Four stars for the normal ones, but dropping to three star rating because of the terrible quality control.

Life changing, $$$ saving!!

This tray changed everything for us. We have a WILD 6 month old pug. He is crate trained, but shredded puppy pads. Some days I went through 3 or 4 pads a day! Expensive, frustrating, bad for the dog's health. It took him a day to understand the tray, now he uses it 98% of the time-- he is not locked in the cage. I love this tray, and will buy another for upstairs when our pup is allowed to roam that far. The tray is easy to change, easy to wipe down and clean. Plus the pad can get fully wet before changing, not a little spot here and there, so 1 pad a day, not 4 shredded ones.
