Description

Algonquin Elegy: Tom Thomson's Last SpringThe mystery of Canada's artist Tom Thomson's drowning in Algonquin Park's Canoe Lake in 1917 have never before been so thoroughly investigated, documented and reported to the public. Here is what Tom Thomson experts have to say about the book: 'Neil J. Lehto's Algonquin Elegy: Tom Thomson's Last Spring, is both a labor of love and a labor of gargantuan effort to come to some understanding, nine decades on, of exactly what happened that summer of 1917.

The mystery of Canada's artist Tom Thomson's drowning in Algonquin Park's Canoe Lake in 1917 have never before been so thoroughly investigated, documented and reported to the public. Here is what Tom Thomson experts have to say about the book:

'Neil J. Lehto's Algonquin Elegy: Tom Thomson's Last Spring, is both a labor of love and a labor of gargantuan effort to come to some understanding, nine decades on, of exactly what happened that summer of 1917. Perhaps no one has ever worked as hard to know the unknowable and, in doing so, he has contributed invaluably to the greatest story in all of Canadian art. Neil's passion for Tom Thomson shines through as passionately on each page as Thomson's passion for Algonquin Park shines though on each painting he left behind that last Spring."
-Roy MacGregor, Columnist for the Globe & Mail, writer of a novel based on the mystery of painter Tom Thomson's final days, Canoe Lake

'Neil Lehto's ambitious novel refers to Ontario's huge provincial park, Algonquin Park and to the death under mysterious circumstances, of one of Canada's greatest artists, Tom Thomson (1877-1917). Lehto intertwines his story with fact so that it has the tone of a memoir but he exuberantly adorns his account, painting in gaps with invented scenarios and developing bare-bones motifs into well-designed adventures. The result has rich color and offers a welcome respite from the dryness of art history."
-Joan Murray, Executive Director and CEO, McMichael Canadian Art Collection, Kleinburg, Ontario.

Great key board and worth the money
Color: Graphite, Style: Battery Powered, Pattern Name: Keyboard
I have had this key board for over two years. Still works great with awesome battery life. The feel and design of the key board is great. Feels like I am typing on my MacBook Pro. Easy to par with multiple computers. Every once in a while it will become disconnected to my main computer and I will power off and on to reconnect. I have not had any other issues and would definitely purchase again.

Love this keyboard.
Color: Graphite, Style: Battery Powered, Pattern Name: Keyboard
It's much like their more expensive model that comes with backlighting. I don't need the backlighting on this one because it's for the office so I'm never typing in the dark. I also like that it just uses regular batteries so between that and the lack of backlighting, the batter life is expected to be phenomenal. Clean looking keyboard and a pleasant typing experience.

Perfect Work Keyboard
Color: Graphite, Style: Battery Powered, Pattern Name: Keyboard, Color: Graphite, Style: Battery Powered, Pattern Name: Keyboard
This keyboard is perfect and exactly what I needed. I wanted a higher quality wireless keyboard for work and this one is that plus some. Keys are not too loud but also not silent. The keyboard itself is thin but not too thin and has weight to it. Also love the ability to connect to other computers with the press of a button. I have a PC for work and Mac for personal use, it switches fast and easy without fail. It’s a little more of an upfront cost compared to others available but it’s worth it truly. Plus the Logi brand itself has gained my trust as all of my other tools (headset, mouse, and webcam) are all Logi and have been excellent. If you’re on the fence due to the price, just purchase and know you’ll never have to buy another keyboard again.

Great keyboard for my mother.
Color: Off White, Style: Battery Powered, Pattern Name: Keyboard, Color: Off White, Style: Battery Powered, Pattern Name: Keyboard
I wanted to move my mother away from corded keyboards so I gave her my old mouse and this keyboard. Functions well with a Linux machine although you have to pair any mice with it on a Windows or Mac computer. It's quite responsive and connects well. A valuable purchase that has survived some falls now. Very durable as long as you're not purposely trying to break it.

Good quality keyboard
Color: Graphite, Style: Battery Powered, Pattern Name: Keyboard
The Logitech Slim K950 Wireless Keyboard works great as a replacement for my old Logitech USB keyboard, but it's not perfect: Pros: Logitech is a good brand that lasts a long time, very easy to connect via Bluetooth (ready to use in minutes) but also comes with a USB to connect manually; runs on two AAA batteries (have not had to replace yet in over a month); Slim profile with low-profile keys; no problems with the functions on the keyboard so far; it's a regular width keyboard with convenient number pad. Cons: It is a bit pricey compared to some other Bluetooth keyboards; the volume keys are above the backspace bar and sometimes I hit those instead of backspace; the main issue for me is that it is supposed to have keys that are "quiet typing" - I don't like "clicky" keyboards and this one still clicks if I am typing fast or pressing hard. Not as much as other non-silent keyboards, but enough that I notice. That said, I tried a couple different "silent" keyboards and they really were not that much different, so maybe it's just me! Overall this is a good keyboard and I would purchase Logitech again.
