These bands are heavy influences that have sparked the raging fuzz fueled, groove fired, riff machine WOLF JAW. Having toured with bands such as CROBOT, SCORPION CHILD, JARED JAMES NICHOLS, TYLER BRYANT AND THE SHAKEDOWN, STONE BROKEN among others, as well as festivals such as Download, Amplified, Steelhouse and Stone Free under their belt it's given WOLF JAW time to truly master their own unique twist on the power trio formula. 2019 brings a new album that is full of muscular riffs mixed with soulful vocals and pounding rhythm That the band have been working hard on since the release of their debut "Starting Gun" in 2018 . WOLF JAW are excited to be bring you new music ! It has also been an intense and exciting year for WOLF JAW. The trio of Tom Leighton, Dale Tonks and Karl Selickis wasted no time in acquainting fans and newcomers via the release of two singles - "I Lose My Mind" and "Hear Me" - both of which will appear on the forthcoming album. Receiving generous support and airplay from Kerrang ! Radio, BBC Introducing West Midlands and a plethora of rock radio stations, "Hear Me" premiered on Download Festival's official website just one week ahead of the band's three stage performances over the course of the event. A subsequent UK tour with CROBOT throughout July garnered praise from Kerrang ! Magazine, who stated that WOLF JAW housed "riffs dirtier than a bucket of double-fried chicken".. . Commenting on the inspirations poured into their forthcoming studio album, WOLF JAW's frontman and guitarist, Tom Leighton, comments : "I've always been inspired by the likes of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and so on, but recently I've been loving bands like All Them Witches, Red Fang, Kadavar and QOTSA, then more modern blues rock players like Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown and Jared James Nichols. excellent middle-grade novel
Format: Hardcover
This story of a muslim girl in the US and her school friends and ordinary dramas is a great addition to school libraries or public libraries and also for girl readers 9-12 or so. It's wonderful that we are getting novels about people from other faiths that are aimed at mainstream readers. It is so important for kids to read books about people from other backgrounds as well as for those from those backgrounds to have books in which they see themselves reflected. Well done!

Vampire Fantasy
Format: Kindle
Following Val through this adventure of trying to find her place in the world while cultists are literally trying to get her, made me feel like I was on the edge of my seat.
I also love the idea that vampires/werewolves(peak at Roving Darkness and the Druids Destiny) are just living everyday life like humans. This book made me wish I was living in this world because it felt so real.
Its also very sapphic

enjoyable cozy urban fantasy
Format: Kindle
Getting kidnapped by her cult-leader grandfather and held chained for other a month is not a pleasant experience. But when Vedalia's (Vel) aunt comes and rescues her, things start to take a turn for the better. Especially when said aunt is a vampire, who is married to a witch, and they're giving her a new start at life.
This story is very much a cozy urban fantasy. There is actions and threats (as her grandfather doesn't know when to give up), but not a lot of angst (not a bad thing at all in my opinion ^^). The focus of the story is very much on Vel as she adapts to life with her new found family, and makes new friends. There is romance in the story, and it's cute - they make an adorable couple. But there is a lot more going on as well.
It is an enjoyable read that is well written and paced well, and I definitely appreciate the queer representation that is in the story. The main threat is wrapped up well, and I certainly would be interested in seeing more of the characters, and Vel growing more into what she has been given. Happily devoured and I look forward to reading more by her.

Amazing
Format: Hardcover
"You know a poem's good if it makes people feels things"
And this novel-in-verse is beyond good. Each word is perfectly chosen to bring you naturally into Selah's world, and her voice is crystal-clear. This was an emotional read for me, and there were so many points that I felt my eyes welling up, sometimes in sympathy and sometimes with joy at her journey.
Her friends, teachers, classmates, and family were fully formed as well. I feel like I know and understand them all so well. I want to go chill in Pop's basement. I want to give Selah's Mom a hug and tell her she's doing great. I'd love to be on a team with Mrs. V, and I absolutely adored Selah's close friend Noelle with her smeagoling and dogged determination to stand by her friend. They are people I would have loved to hang out with them.
Loved, loved, loved the dragon metaphors. They made Selah's feelings, wants, and desire so clear and relatable. I have a slight obsession with the dragons of Birk, so of course, I gave a little cheer everytime they were mentioned. The FantasyCon scene was lovely, and I loved how it was a turning point on Selah's journey towards finding herself. I always love when the dear nerdly community pulls through.
Anyway, I'll probably be throwing this book at everyone's head for a while. It's beautiful, profound, a little cathartic, and important. But also, it's a really enjoyable read! Like, Selah's just a really cool girl. Everything about it was just right, and I feel better for having read it.
