A Durban male was selected in 2011 from a pack of Sensi Seeds Durban from the early 2000s. It was one of the top 8 males selected from over 800 plants that year. Tons of pollen was collected and almost a dozen hybrids were made. 

A cross into an OG Sour seed plant that won 10th place at the Emerald Cup that year was by far the stand out of all the crosses made with it. Originally grown and tested in 2012 and again in 2015 the OG Sour Durban is incredible.

The last of the original seeds were started in 2022. One plant stood out remarkably from the sweet creaminess, anise black licorice smell and early resin production in mid flowering. It was pulled out of a breeding project and re-vegged. That OG Sour Durban keeper is everything I was looking for, except the buds are fat and huge which brings mold risk outdoors, and being old school Durban dominant lacked potency.

We’ve crossed it into our multi award-winning Double OG Sour, using 3 males selected from the same generation of seeds we found our Emerald Cup 1st place and Breeders Cup winning Double OG Sour cut.

The results of this F1 surpassed my expectations big time.

Thoroughly tested from our 2025 breeding projects, we grew out almost 200 of these. 

There are 3 main phenotypes, all extremely vigorous. Medium height with fat frosty buds with sweet creamy unique sativa terps. Medium height with fat frosty buds with sweet cream creamy unique sativa terps with awesome loud OG kush and Sour gas. Lastly a tall lanky more Durban sativa type plant with long branches and classic Anise/licorice terps.

The Double OG Sour adds density, heavy resin production, mold resistance, and serious gassy terps.
