Six Questions Your HomeWell Care Services Franchise Business Plan Must Answer

We built this franchise unit business plan in Microsoft Word using our own independent research into the market and this specific franchise model. All six chapters are pre-populated with data for opening and operating a single franchise unit, projecting first-year revenue of $785,000. The entire document is fully editable, allowing you to fine-tune every assumption to match your local territory and financial situation.

1. What is the core business case for opening this franchise unit?

The business case is to establish a premium, boutique wellness hub in the affluent North Scottsdale market, delivering concierge-level home care that prioritizes holistic aging. The model is designed to capture high-value private pay clients by creating exclusive referral partnerships and positioning the agency as a trusted local authority, leading to a projected 3-year payback period.

Key Pillars of the Business Case

  • A premium value proposition focused on concierge service and specialized dementia care for an underserved affluent demographic.
  • A target market of high-net-worth individuals, affluent retirees, and post-acute patients from premier medical facilities.
  • A financially viable model with strong revenue growth and a clear path to profitability within three years.
[dynamic_pic9]

2. What are the primary services and revenue streams?

The unit will generate revenue through a mix of long-term care contracts, specialized programs, and short-term, high-value recovery services. The core offer is built around premium, private pay concierge home care services, supplemented by specific programs for dementia care and post-acute recovery support that command higher rates.

Primary Revenue Streams

  • Long Term Care Contracts, projected to reach $1,200,000 in revenue by year five.
  • Post Acute Recovery services, providing a key referral-based income stream.
  • Specialized Dementia Care Programs and Life Enrichment Packages for high-need clients.
[dynamic_pic10]

3. Who are the target customers and what is the market opportunity?

The primary customers are affluent retirees in North Scottsdale, families seeking specialized dementia care, and post-acute patients transitioning from top-tier medical centers like the Mayo Clinic. The market opportunity lies in serving a high-net-worth demographic that prioritizes and can afford premium, personalized care over standard, task-based services.

Key Customer Segments

  • Affluent retirees in North Scottsdale requiring personalized companionship and wellness management.
  • Post-acute patients from Mayo Clinic and orthopedic rehab centers needing home recovery support.
  • Families of seniors with dementia seeking specialized, high-quality cognitive care programs.
[dynamic_pic11]

4. How will the franchise unit acquire and retain customers?

Customer acquisition will be driven by a high-touch, relationship-based strategy focused on building exclusive referral pipelines with medical institutions, luxury assisted living facilities, and local community influencers. Retention will be achieved through a concierge service model that provides 24/7 communication and a dedicated Care Manager for each client, ensuring family peace of mind.

Customer Acquisition & Retention Strategy

  • Develop exclusive referral pipelines with medical partners like Mayo Clinic for post-acute recovery support.
  • Form B2B partnerships with luxury assisted living facilities to directly acquire clients.
  • Use hyper-local SEO and sponsorship of high-end senior events to build brand authority and trust.
[dynamic_pic12]

5. Who will run the unit and what is the staffing plan?

The unit will be led by an experienced General Manager responsible for overseeing all operations, supported by a Care Manager, an Admin Coordinator, and a team of elite caregivers. The staffing plan is designed to scale with revenue growth, starting with a core team and expanding the number of Caregivers from 6.0 FTEs in year one to 14.0 by year five.

Key Management & Staffing Roles

  • A full-time General Manager to lead daily operations and business development.
  • A Care Manager to oversee client service delivery and caregiver management.
  • A team of highly qualified Caregivers, scaling from 6 to 14 full-time equivalents over five years.
[dynamic_pic13]

6. What are the key financial metrics and funding requirements?

The financial plan requires a minimum cash position of $1,009,000 to cover startup costs and initial operating losses, with a projected break-even date in March 2026, just three months after launch. Key performance indicators include a 3-year investment payback, a 7.17% Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and robust revenue growth to over $3.7 million by the fifth year of operations. This is defintely a capital-intensive business at the start.

Financial Plan Highlights

  • Minimum cash required to successfully launch and sustain the unit is $1,009,000.
  • The investment is projected to be paid back within 3 years of operation.
  • The unit is forecast to achieve $3,752,000 in annual revenue by the end of year five.

It's a beast and you can add attachments to, like a brush cutter head.
Style: 16" (2 x 4Ah)
This thing is a beast of a battery powered machine. I wouldn't put it completely up against my gas. It is much better than the Greenworks 24V 13-Inch Brushless String Trimmer (Gen 2), 4.0Ah USB Battery and Charger Included that I had purchased this time last year. I have several gas so I only really needed a light duty one to do the fence line and around the house. The main issue with the 13 inch was that the auto feed bump mechanism was worthless. It also uses very thin lines so very quickly you go from 13 inches to 6 to 8. and the bump feed does not work even with greenworks replacement spools. You get twice the batteries and a dual rapid charger for $50 more. You couldn't even buy the battery for that much. onto this thing. Love the dual string heavy-duty string mechanism. Love the fact that you can remove the trimmer head and add an attachment. I have attachments from my gas Trimmers and they work perfectly. My brush head attachment utterly devastated thick bramble from an overgrown lot. The best part is it took me two hours to get my stored gas trimmers to run properly which I don't have to do with a battery operated device. No gas flying that deteriorated or primer bubbles that have burst followed spark plugs Stale gas . Just throw the batteries on and you're off. Nothing long-term to report, only had it a week. Used it enough to run down completely six sets of batteries.

Works well, but battery life is lacking
Style: 15" (2 x 2Ah)
This is a decent trimmer and gets the job done almost as well as a gas model. It has decent power (could use a little more) and is plenty light. However, the battery life stinks. One of the two batteries has already decided not to charge. It plugs in, but the charger does not blink or charge it. The terminals are clean. Of course, this happened just outside the return/support window, meaning I now have to buy a new battery just to use the trimmer. That's about half the price of the trimmer; if the other one dies, too, I may as well buy a brand new gas trimmer for the price and have the thing last for a decade or two like my last one, instead of a couple years like this one.

Overall very good product.
Style: 15" (2 x 2Ah)
I bought this trimmer as I had previously bought a Greenworks 24V MAX Cordless drill that uses the same battery. The batteries to buy them alone are over 50 dollars each and as this has two its a great value in that respect. I was tired of electric trimmers with cords or noisy gas powered ones that are hard to start. This so far has worked excellent. I have not had a problem with the trimmer cord breaking and having to re-wind it back onto the spool like some other trimmers I have used. It is not noisy and it is effective and easy to use. The only thing I would disagree on is it is advertised as having an Ultra lightweight design. It is not heavy or cumbersome to use but I would not call it ultra lightweight. Overall very good product.

Extremely diappointing
Style: 15" (2 x 2Ah)
I purchased a Greenworks Impact Wrench for my son. I was so so impressed with it that I purchased one for myself & decided to try their 2x24V 15" Cordless String Trimmer. Unfortunately just because a company makes one excellent tool doesn't mean that all their tools are good. The first problem I had with the trimmer was that it didn't come with the batteries or charger in the ad. It was supposed to have 4.0Ah batteries but came with 2.0Ah. In addition, more often than not, the manual didn't agree with actual parts & features. The trimmer requires two 24V batteries to operate. It can't be used with one battery even though it has a "low power" setting. On full power the trimmer had adequate power for most weeds but is no where near as powerful as a gas trimmer. The batteries only lasted about 20 minutes (this trimmer does not have a brushless motor). The 2 line feed head is not designed for easy reloading. In fact, it is the worst design I've ever owned. I've decided to return it & try one of their 2x24V brushless motor trimmers which should provide more power & has 4.0Ah batteries but costs significantly more.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TRASH - edited
Style: 15" (2 x 2Ah)
I bought this product and it arrived with one battery that doesn't charge out of the two. Without 2 batteries, it won't work at all. Attempted to contact Greenworks with the number Amazon provided. They were closed on the weekends. Called Monday and the message stated that customer support closed early. Attempted using the Chat option for help. It states the model number STE304, doesn't exist, so I couldn't proceed. Called on Tuesday. I have been on hold for over an hour and still nothing. Will update. After about an hour and a half on hold (yes, the offer the option of leaving a call back number, which I didn't use as I had to work from home to access customer service when they were open. Also, they needed me to try out stuff with the batteries and give them serial numbers, etc.) The lady I spoke to spoke English and appeared to be US based. Eventually, after doing the "did you restart it" version of troubleshooting, it was indeed determined my battery didn't work and they offered to ship me a new one at no cost. I then had to dispose of my non-working battery in the proper manner, and our yearly toxic garbage pick up coincided with this, thankfully. It took time out of my work schedule to get this resolved, but the lady I spoke to was great and I did get my battery about a week or so later, which I did appreciate. Customer service needs better access esp since you have to have the physical batteries and charger to get this resolved, which you may not be able to do while working. Maybe they can't find people to work as that seems to be an issue everywhere. The weed eater works fine. Updated from one star to three based on resolving issues and a dead battery upon arrival, rather than the actual equipment working.
