AQUA ESSENTIAL water conditioner is an incredibly concentrated all-in-one solution that quickly transforms tap water into a safe environment for your fish by eliminating chlorine, chloramine, and neutralizing heavy metals that are often present in tap water. This water conditioner effectively removes harmful levels of ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite in freshwater, saltwater, and planted aquariums. Ammonia, which is continuously released by fish through their gills, urine, and waste, can also accumulate from uneaten food and decomposing organic matter. While even small amounts of ammonia can stress fish, larger quantities can be lethal. This specialized formula binds to ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate, making them non-toxic and allowing your biofilter to work more efficiently in eliminating them. Apply this conditioner at the start-up of your aquarium and each time you add or change water, or when tests indicate elevated levels of ammonia, nitrates, or nitrites. When introducing, transporting, or quarantining fish, we suggest using API STRESS COAT water conditioner, which pairs perfectly with AQUA ESSENTIAL water conditioner. Using the dosing cap provided, add 5 ml for every 50 gallons of aquarium water to treat tap water. For removing ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate, use 5 ml for every 10 gallons of aquarium water. We recommend waiting 24 hours after dosing before performing a water change. If you need to dose again within that 24-hour window, it poses no risk to the animals or plants in your aquarium. A subsequent water change is always advantageous for aquatic health.
