A new (2005) Introduction by Charles Tandy is entitled "Ettinger's 1964 Thesis: Indefinitely Extended And Enhanced Life (Immortality) Is Probably Already Here Via Experimental Long-Term Suspended Animation" P: ]] James Bedford began his journey as "the first cryonaut" on January 12, 1967; as of 2005, he and many others remain in cryonic hibernation. According to Ettinger, cryonic hibernation (experimental long-term suspended animation) of humans may provide a "door into summer" unlike any season previously known. Such patients (individuals and families in cryonic hibernation) may yet experience the transhuman condition. Ettinger argues for his belief in "the possibility of limitless life for our generation." We should become aware of the incorrect, distorted, and oversimplified ideas presented in the popular media about cryonics. Very Broad Overview. A Little Disorderly
Format: Paperback
I liked the book. It's a very broad overview of the major time periods of Ancient Greece, concluding w/ Rome's conquest. It feels too short to convey all the information in a really meaningful fashion and sometimes the order the information is presented in seems a little disjointed. All in all, I felt like it was a good read and would recommend it to others seeking an introduction into the basic outline of the timeline and introduction to many of the major players.

I absolutely LOVED this book! There is a thoughtful process to how it it laid out, while giving you the interesting bits of history - the ones that really made a difference.
Greece was a civilization unto itself, and the accomplishments that were undertaken were massive. From buildings, to history, philosophy, conquests and so much more - there is something for everyone in this book!
