At 42.5 inches long, this heater will heat an area of 7 by 7 feet at a mounting height of between 7 and 8 feet. The SL Series heaters must be surface mounted only and may not be flush mounted. The reason is that the SL-Series heater housing operates at a significantly higher temperature than the W-Series or C-Series fixtures due to the narrow profile and tight clearances to the heating element.
