Green Tara is believed to have originated from the tears of compassion shed by the Buddha Avalokiteshvara. According to legend, she was once a princess who vowed to always be reborn as a woman until all beings are free from suffering.
She is known as the Mother of all Buddhas, as she is the embodiment of the wisdom and compassion of all the Buddhas.
These flags are especially good to hang to counter the effects of fear. Green Tara is often associated with protection and the granting of wishes, and her mantra is "Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha".
These are hand made and have some slight variations between items.
