Good ebonised colour and patina to the wood with even better patina to the studded large leather seat.

The sprung seat is as comfortable as it looks.

The chair is solid throughout, and amazingly there is no damage to the rattan.

I'd probably use a cushion against the back just to protect it a bit.

There are a couple of small light scratches behind the chair consummate with age and use, and two tiny wood worm holes which I've treated of course but hardly noticeable.

The leather seat has two tears as shown in the photos, but these don't bother me at all, to be honest, they add to the character (although they could easily be repaired or patched).
