The electronically controlled alternator with chain drive delivers precise speed management across the full 24-to-190-SPM range, providing the smooth, quiet stair-climbing experience that defines the StairMaster brand.
Built-in programs include Quick Start, Manual, Fat Burner, Calorie Burner, Intervals, Bell-Shaped, Build, Mystery Challenge, Steady, and Heart Rate Zone Trainer. The Landmark Challenge program lets users climb famous structures from around the world — the Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Taj Mahal, and more. A nationally recognized multi-stage fitness test and CPAT firefighter test measure cardiopulmonary endurance and muscular strength.
At 502 lbs with a 350 lb maximum user weight, the 8 Series Gauntlet is built for heavy daily use. The LCD console displays all essential workout metrics including step rate, floors climbed, calories, heart rate, and elapsed time. Heart rate monitoring via touch sensors and wireless telemetry (chest strap compatible) are both supported.
