Our Lady of Lourdes — Healing Hope & Gentle Comfort

Invite the healing love of Our Lady of Lourdes into your home with this beautifully crafted Catholic plush doll from Little Drops of Water®. Inspired by Mary’s miraculous appearances to St. Bernadette in Lourdes, France, this tender Marian devotion reminds children — and families — to turn to Mary in prayer, especially in times of sickness or need.

A Gentle Reminder of Mary’s Care
Standing 8 inches tall, this serene plush features Mary in her classic white gown with blue sash, just as she appeared in the grotto. It’s a sweet and comforting way to teach children about healing, hope, and prayer, especially as we celebrate her February 11 feast day.

Why Families Love It:

  • A comforting companion during illness or worry

  • Encourages trust in Mary’s intercession and prayer

  • Beautiful Marian devotion for kids ages 3+

  • A meaningful gift for First Communion, feast days, or pilgrimages

Whether given to a child facing illness, placed in a prayer corner, or used to teach Marian devotion, this plush is a soft, faith-filled reminder of Our Lady’s healing love.

Care: Spot-clean gently with mild soap and water. Designed with love by Little Drops of Water®

This is a good book to read and understand how the European nations deployed their armies around the world to extract natural resources from other nations. Now, we have developing and underdeveloped nations.

Interesting book, dull period
Format: Paperback
As a Marxist historian, Hobsbawm sees the world at this time, as well as the modern world, as a playground for the forces of capitalism. He apologizes for taking a eurocentric approach to world history, while acknowledging that Europe largely determined the course of world events during this period. In spite of the title, there actually isn't much discussion of colonial empires; Hobsbawm seems more interested in how the Age of Empire affected the rulers more than the ruled. His Marxist sympathies are in evidence and at times make his conclusions a bit predictable, but some of his cultural critiques are quite brilliant. The chapter on the dilemmas posed by modern science is exceptional. Reading a book like this seems to me much more interesting than actually living in this period would have been.
