Stag-O-Lee presents the fourth volume of Slow Grind Fever. Compiled by London's DJ Diddy Wah, who is known for his Diddywah Blog, his radio show, and his constant presence as a host and DJ for London club nights like Heavy Sugar, Get Rhythm, and others. This volume, along with it's predecessor, Volume 3 (STAGO 064 LP), is also available on CD as Slow Grind Fever Volume 3 & 4 (STAGO 066 CD). The decade between 1953 and 1963 offers an endless supply of danceable, up-tempo tunes. We're talking rhythm 'n' blues, and the phase in the early '60s when it morphed into soul (now called new breed), as well as popcorn - Belgian music with a mid-tempo style and a high groove-factor. The Slow Grind Fever series highlights the slower side of this period, and takes it's title and inspiration from an Australian club night billed as Melbourne's only slow dance party. These events would include only the slowest, spookiest, sweetest records the DJs could find, with folks dancing real slow in a haze of smoke and dim red light. Stag-O-Lee was convinced that this was a great concept for a compilation series, and have collaborated with those behind the Melbourne club night to present Slow Grind Fever, the fourth volume of which includes tracks by Jay Hawkins, Yvonne Fair & James Brown Band, Nappy Brown, Bobby Peterson Quintet, Big Daddy and His Boys, Roy Brown, Varetta Dillard, John Greer and His Combo, Duane Eddy, Howlin' Wolf, Elmore James, The Jaguars, Yvonne Baker and the Sensations, The Stone Crushers, Cozy Cole, and El Pauling and The Royalton.

1.1 A1. Jay Hawkins - Well, I Tried
1.2 A2. Yvonne Fair ; James Brown Band - If I Knew
1.3 A3. Nappy Brown - the Right Time

Comparable to high end mens shops!
Fit Type: Regular Fit, Color: Blue, Size: Large
Beautiful, heavy blue Oxford comparable to upper end mens store at 75% less! Full cut, great for casual wear or sending out for professional starching. Downside, no pocket, but I had mine monogramed wear the pocket would be and it looks like an expensive dress shirt. I bought more (with pockets) in blue & white

Heavier fabric, very durable
Fit Type: Regular Fit, Color: Grey, Size: Large
3 stars. Pretty nice shirt but the fabric is a bit firmer than i like. I iron it when i usually wear it so that it looks half decent since wrinkle resistance is low or poor. I usually have to use a higher setting on the fabric since the material is thick making it alot heavier. Overall great for the lower end cost, anything that beats it would probably be double the price. I work in a cubicle so this works well for me, a simple shirt, with a simple color.

No Shirt Pocket!
Fit Type: Regular Fit, Color: Blue Stripe, Size: X-Large
No Pocket! The material was nice quality, a little thicker than I would have anticipate for a low priced shirt, and very soft. The only disappointment was there was not shirt pocket. I suppose I did not look closely enough at the photos to notice that before I purchased. Otherwise, this is a very comfortable shirt.
