When your bristles get worn out, simply change the brush by unscrewing the old one and screw in a new one. No need to throw the whole brush out; just purchase a three-pack of brushes, which will average out to be half the original cost of the Coffeetool. Also, the angle of the brush and deflecting fins are designed to prevent hot water from running down the brush handle while you are cleaning and burn your hand.
