A super rare item here, the enamelled version of the US World War Two era canteen cup. The vast majority of these were made from a low grade steel or aluminium, but enamelled variations were trialled during 1942.
The canteens themselves are rare and sought after, but even fewer of the accompanying cups were produced.
The example has a number of dings to the enamel finish, as they are prone to. Marked on the handle "U.S. L.& F.C. 1942". Finish is black, but there are some definite blueish areas, particularly on the rear where the handle is attached (see photographs).
