Overview
This is a brand new design product, using the PL2303TA chip produced by Taiwan Prolific Company. PL2303TA provides a convenient solution for connecting RS232-like full-duplex asynchronous serial devices to any Universal Serial Bus (USB) host. PL2303TA is perfectly compatible with win XP/VISTA/7/8/8.1/10/11 systems and can simulate traditional COM ports in most operating systems to allow existing applications based on COM ports to be easily ported and perform USB connection functions without rewriting COM port software applications.
By taking advantage of USB bulk transfer mode, large data buffer and automatic flow control, PL2303TA is able to achieve higher throughput than traditional UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter) real RS232 signaling, and transmission rates higher than 115200 bps can be used for even higher performance. PL2303TA's flexible baud rate generator can be programmed to generate any rate between 75 bps and 600 bps.
PL2303TA is designed for mobile and embedded solutions, offering a compact form factor that can easily fit into any connector and handheld device. With very little power consumption in operating or suspend mode, PL2303TA is perfect for bus-powered operation with plenty of power left for connected devices.
