"Spielgusher represents the meeting of two of America's great artists, Richard Meltzer and Mike Watt. There is additional musical accompaniment by guitarist Hirotaka Shimizu and drummer Yuko Araki, but the basic semiotic brunt of this meeting is shouldered by Richard and Mike. A collaboration between the two had been postulated back when the Minutemen still walked the Earth, but that dream was canceled with Denis Boon met his tragic fate in December 1985. Still, Meltzer and Watt kept in touch and tried to think of what they might do together. Around 2011 they arrived at solution. Richard had recorded a bunch of material for Mike, and Watt finally decided to go into the studio with a couple of his Japanese musician pals to cut a long set of jams and splats to go along with the words. Mike put the finished session, also called Spielgusher, out as a CD on his own clenchedwrench label, but we never really felt a though that release got into the hands or ears or brains of the many folks who'd dig hearing it. Consequently, here is a 2LP reprise of the set, with lovely new cover art, provided by Raymond Pettibon (another long-time Meltzer fan, and one who actually witnessed the debut performance of VOM at Kahuna's Bearded Clam, back when we were all a lot younger). Meltzer's words range from hilarious to shocking, and anyone who has attended one of his readings will agree that his performance is fully on point here. The musical inventions the trio tosses up to meet his words are fantastic - abstract or pointed at various times, melodic or noisome as befits the mood, but all with the compact econo lines that are Watt's stock-in-trade. There are perhaps some out there for whom Meltzer's poems will prove to be stronger word-meat than they are used to, but most of us are surely made of stronger stuff. Great mental stimulation for dogs

These ae great for my two large dogs! It holds just enough to be a nice treat instead of a full meal like some of the large freeze balls. I fill with a mixture of pumpkin, canned dog food, and a little kibble and freeze it. It keeps my big boys ( a Black Mouth Cur and a German Shepherd) busy for about 30 minutes and wears them out! They both take a lazy nap after licking for that long.
The PupsCream bones do not slide across the floors and so far we havent ahd any mess from the dogs licking these. They are heavy and sturdy but you do need to supervise your pups if you have a big chewer as they are not indestructible. If you have a heavy chewer they will be able to chew pieces of this off given time. But, your dog shouldn't be using these, or any other rubber toy, unsupervised so that shouldn't be a problem.
These don't replace physical exercise but are fantastic for rainy days when we can't let the dogs run and play in the yard as they are great mental stimulation. Experts say 30 minutes of licking is equal to a walk in terms of engaging their brains and calming them and from our experience this is true - our boys are tired after they empty these!

Dogs Delight!

I love this product! It is durable, strong and sturdy. It doesn't roll around, so the dogs can lick the contents without it going all over the floor. Same in the freezer - it sits on a shelf with no mess!
The dogs enjoy their frozen fruit treats in it in summer and their softened, warm kibble with dollops of yoghurt or peanut butter, in winter. I have 4 so that 2 are in rotation everyday! I always have a new one in the cupboard in case I think of something extra to make.
These make great gifts for other dog-mums/dad!

My Boy Loves His Freezer Toy

The GoSports Pets PupCream Freezable Dog Bone Toy is seriously one of the best purchases I’ve made for my pup! He goes crazy for it every time I pull it out of the freezer. It’s adorable, but more importantly—it keeps him cool, busy, and happy.
He loves to chew, and this toy is perfect for that. The material is soft enough for his teeth but still holds up really well. It stays cold for a while, which is great for hot days or when he just needs to chill out. It also helped a lot during his teething stage!

Best for small-medium sized dogs

For the price I bought two, one for each dog. I like the idea of this. In practice its not nearly deep as it should be. My dogs love it and spend 10, maybe 15 minutes, working to eat the inside once its frozen. I like the idea I just wish it was deeper than it is. Otherwise its great. Probably better for small-medium sized dogs. I have a 45 pound dog and 65 pound dog and its almost too small for them. Fun snack. The dogs love it. Easy to use and clean.

Great buy! My dogs love them!

My 2 chocolate labs, both males, aged 7 & 8 love these. I've mixed banana and peanut butter, plain yogurt and topped with a few blueberries on top. Freeze them for a few hours and they LOVE them. I ended up purchasing 3 more - 1 as a gift for another dog's birthday party! I recommend these for all dogs 👍
