The NETGEAR GS748Tv5 is a next-generation ProSAFE Gigabit Smart Switch designed to empower the network edge with more intelligence, reliability, and control. Built for small to medium-sized businesses, this 48-port Ethernet switch delivers robust Layer 2 and Layer 2+ features that simplify network segmentation, improve performance, and streamline administration. With industry-leading reliability, a rich feature set, and a focus on ease of use, the GS748Tv5 helps you optimize traffic, prioritize critical applications, and scale as your network grows. Whether you’re consolidating desktops, servers, IP phones, or surveillance cameras, this switch provides the smart capability you need to keep your edge fast, secure, and manageable.

  • Powerful L2 and L2+ features at the edge: The GS748Tv5 delivers advanced switching capabilities designed for networks that demand efficient traffic handling, secure VLAN segmentation, and intelligent traffic management. Enjoy robust support for 802.1Q VLAN tagging, private VLANs, and sophisticated QoS policies that prioritize voice, video, and business-critical applications while reducing congestion for latency-sensitive tasks.
  • High port density with flexible uplinks: Equipped with 48 x 10/100/1000 Mbps ports, this switch offers generous port real estate for desktop and edge devices. It also provides flexible uplink options via dedicated Gigabit fiber/SFP ports, enabling you to connect to core switches, distribution layers, or a campus backbone with ease and reliability.
  • Advanced traffic management for performance and reliability: Built to optimize performance, the GS748Tv5 supports quality of service (QoS) based on 802.1p and DSCP markings, ensures fair bandwidth distribution with configurable rate limiting, and leverages features like IGMP/MLD Snooping to manage multicast traffic efficiently. These capabilities help ensure smooth video conferencing, VoIP calls, and data-heavy applications without compromising other critical services.
  • Enterprise-grade management made simple: Manageability is at the core of this ProSAFE switch. The GS748Tv5 includes a user-friendly web-based graphical interface, SNMP-based monitoring, and detailed traffic analytics. IT teams can deploy, monitor, and adjust policies quickly, reducing mean time to repair and improving overall network visibility. For advanced users, CLI access complements the GUI for precise configuration when needed.
  • Reliable operation for busy environments: Designed for office and SMB environments, the GS748Tv5 emphasizes stable performance and quiet operation in typical workspaces. Its non-PoE design reduces power usage in a mixed-edge environment while still delivering dependable, continuous performance for everyday business tasks and demanding workloads alike.

how to install NETGEAR GS748Tv5

  • Unbox and inspect the switch, confirm all cables and mounting hardware are present, and place the unit in a suitable area with adequate airflow.
  • Decide on mounting: desktop or rack-mount. If rack-mounting, align the mounting brackets and secure the switch to your rack with screws.
  • Power on the switch and connect a management PC to any LAN port using an standard Ethernet cable. If you’re using a dedicated management network, connect the PC to a management VLAN once configured.
  • Access the web-based management interface. The default IP may be assigned via DHCP or documented in the user guide; once connected, log in using the default credentials and immediately change the admin password for security.
  • Configure basic settings: set the management IP (static or DHCP as appropriate), define an appropriate subnet, and enable secure access (HTTPS). Create and assign VLANs to ports as needed, and set up QoS policies to align with your application priorities.
  • Enable features such as IGMP Snooping, VLAN-based segmentation, and any necessary security controls. If you plan to use trunk links to other switches, configure port channels or link aggregation with the appropriate LACP settings.
  • Save the configuration and apply it. Reboot if required, and verify connectivity by testing reachability from client devices and essential services across the VLANs you configured.
  • Set up ongoing monitoring and maintenance: enable SNMP traps, configure syslog for centralized logging, and schedule firmware updates from NETGEAR to keep the device secure and stable.

Pretty Darn Good
Format: Kindle
So I’ve been on a omega kick and this definitely hit the spot. Madison was frustrating at times with how she acted towards Lucas, Gray, and Rian. It was like she said towards the end, she didn’t believe she deserved nice things. It would have been nice to hear from her best friends again. They kind of were there in the beginning and the gone except for mention of text messages received from them. I feel like her friends would have been great help in encouraging Madison to go with the pack and never give Brent another chance because he was toxic. I loved Rian. His personality was awesome. His humor. His ability to make Madison comfortable whenever she was feeling overwhelmed. And the fact he fell for her and she fell for him first. They are cute together. I do feel like Lucas was the odd man out though. Like Lucas didn’t develop as much of a relationship with Madison. I would have really liked to see more development in the relationship between them. It was also the same with him and Rian. There is really no relationship displayed. Most of the relationship being displayed is between Rian and Gray. Nevertheless, I loved reading about the dynamic that came to fruition during the entirety of this story. Madison finally got her happiness. And Brent finally got punched in the face. Everyone got exactly what they deserve.

Pack's Promise was okay but not great
Format: Kindle
Pack's Promise was okay but not great. I won't recommend it to anyone that I know. PRO: * Very likable characters * Lots of steamy scenes that are written very well * The spelling and grammar are good * The punctuation is good with the exception of using hyphens instead of commas. Lots of hyphens. Lots and lots of hyphens. CON: * Almost no interactions with any characters outside of Madison and the pack * Nearly no plot. They meet, get together for a heat, agree to make it permanent, done * Quite a few typos such as extraneous words, missing words and words out of order THINGS TO KNOW: * More steamy scenes than storytelling * A lot of MM & MMM, some MFMM during heat

Fluffy and Nice Omegaverse
Format: Kindle
… this would have made 5 stars but for 2 reasons. A.) there were quite a few typos; misspelled words, missing quotations, “the his” mistakes, and various signs that maybe a proofread would do good. B.) the writing was quite textbook. Late blooming omega is struggling with her new self, finds a absurdly wealthy pack of alphas, every thing is almost insta-love but she resists, then decides to love herself and let everyone be happy. Rian was my favourite (obviously the author’s favourite too because he got the most page time) but I wish we could see more of his CEO side? He went to work maybe ONCE the entire time. Gray was supposed to be the “growly one” but he turned out to be puppy dog. Lucas was a genius brainiac doctor - but also super alpha with an aggressive hindbrain with a breeding k*nk?? And then there was no actual “breeding”?? Spice 3/5 - normally omegaverse books are super high on messy smut but this was tamer. Romance 3/5 - insta-love that was then resisted because of personal hangup’s Plot 2/5 - weird paced head hopping, showing the same scene from different POV’s that made me feel like it was 2 steps backward, 1 step forward. Humour 4/5 - there were a dozen lines that genuinely made me chuckle out loud Would have been five stars but the lack of proofreading and the predictable plot made me unable to get up to ADORED IT level - four stars is still and official ENJOYED IT, y’all. This isn’t a bad rating. The “Club Heat” has intriguing possibilities so I’m going to give the second one a shot.
