This elegant pendant was created from an antique love token brooch (circa 1910-1920). The heart is a "witch's heart" with a slight twist at the bottom. Since the 18th century, witch's hearts were given as gifts to symbolize that the giver was "bewitched" with love for the recipient.
The pendant measures 0.9 inches from the top of the bail to the base of the pendant by 0.65 inches wide. It is unmarked, but acid tests for 14k gold. It is in very good condition; however, there is a slight bit of loss to the enamel visible under magnification and some light abrasions on the reverse where the original pin findings were removed.
