A Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright tells her lyrical story of coming-of-age against the backdrop of a devastated barrio, with her sprawling, idiosyncratic, love-and-trouble filled Puerto Rican family as a collective muse.
Quiara Alegria Hudes was the sharp-eyed girl on the stairs while her family danced in her grandmother’s tight South Philly kitchen, “frizzy hair cut short, bangs teased into stiff clouds, sweat glistening in the summer fog, pamper-butt babies weaving between legs.” Quiara was awed by her aunts and uncles and cousins, but haunted by the secrets of the family and the unspoken stories of the barrio—even as she tried to find her own voice in the sea of language around her, written and spoken, English and Spanish, bodies and books, Western art and sacred altars. Her family became her private pantheon, a gathering of powerful orishas with tragic wounds and she vowed to tell their stories—but first she’d have to get off the stairs and join the dance; she’d have to find her langauge.
This is an inspired exploration of home, family, memory, and belonging, narrated by the obsessed girl who fought to become an artist so she could capture the world she loved in all its wild and delicate beauty.

Great for the price!
Color: Avocado Green
It is quiet and it works well. I was trying to purchase a smaller keyboard my husband had picked up for me for my birthday. Although this is much bigger, it works well is quiet and it didn't cost a fortune. The color of the keyboard was not exactly what I was going in for, however I am grateful to have another keyboard as I had ruined another one with coffee. The keyboard is fairly lightweight although like I said I was trying to get a smaller one to replicate the one my husband got me my mistake has decent responsiveness, mouses ergonomic. It's a nice keyboard I wouldn't have gone with this color personally. Seems to be fairly durable and easy to connect and use.
The price was very good so I would recommend two others.

Very quiet and comfortable keyboard
Color: Black
I recently purchased this keyboard and mouse set to replace my old one, and I’ve been very pleased with it so far. The keyboard keys are soft, responsive, and surprisingly quiet, which makes typing much more comfortable. The mouse also has a smooth, soft-touch feel that fits nicely in the hand. Overall, the set feels well made and like a great value for the price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and reliable keyboard and mouse combo.

It should last, but could be much better.
Color: Black
The keys are quiet and the keyboard should last a long time. Being a flat keyboard, I find myself hitting two keys at the same time frequently, and prefer the style with raised, tapered keys. The mouse times out and needs to be woke up by right clicking, but other times seems to lose connectivity entirely. Overall, I wish for something better

Great low price option for wireless keyboard
Color: Black
I’ve been using this ergonomic wireless keyboard and mouse for a bit now, and I’m honestly really happy with it. It’s super lightweight, and setup was as simple as plugging in the USB receiver; everything worked right away without me having to mess with any settings.
The keyboard feels great to type on. The keys are soft and quiet, and the adjustable tilt makes a noticeable difference for my wrists during longer work stretches. I also like having the full number pad and the shortcut keys, little things, but they make my day-to-day work smoother.
The mouse is comfortable and easy to control, and I haven’t had any issues with the wireless connection at all. No lag, no random disconnects. Battery life has also been impressive so far.
Overall, it’s easy to use, comfortable, and does exactly what I need it to. I’m definitely happy with the purchase.
