Gin Rin Grade A Koi Carp Cyprinus CarpioGin Rin Grade A Koi Carp Cyprinus Carpio The common name Gin Rin (GEEN leen) is actually shortened from the Japanese name Kin Gin Rin (keen GEEN leen) and is translated as golden silver reflective scales. These scales give the koi a lovely, glittery effect and look stunning at all times, but especially so on particularly sunny days.
Gin Rin Grade A Koi Carp Cyprinus CarpioThe common name Gin Rin (GEEN-leen) is actually shortened from the Japanese name Kin-Gin-Rin (keen-GEEN-leen) and is translated as ‘golden-silver reflective scales’. As the name suggests, Gin Rin koi have beautiful, sparkling scales that appear to be of either a gold or silver colour. These scales give the koi a lovely, glittery effect and look stunning at all times, but especially so on particularly sunny days.
Any koi variety can have Gin Rin scales and when a koi has this scale type, the variety name is preceded by the words Gin Rin. For example, you could have Gin Kin Kohaku, Gin Rin Benigoi, or Gin Rin Goshiki. You could even have Gin Rin Doitsu varieties!
The Gin Rin variety was created by a very respected breeder called Eizaburo Hoshino in the early 20th century. No one is certain how the Gin Rin koi were created. The story states that Hoshino came across a local fisherman who had caught a Magoi fish (a Japanese common carp, a black fish from which all modern koi descend) whose scales glittered and shimmered magnificently. Hoshino brought this fish and bred it with some of his own koi to eventually create the first proper Gin Rin koi. The scale type took a long time and a lot of work by various breeders throughout Japan to fully stabilise but by the 1950s, the Gin Rin type was established and even refined into four subgroups.
It is important to note when discussing Gin Rin koi that the scales of a Gin Rin will appear to be a golden colour when they cover hi (red) pigments and the scales appear silver when they cover shiro (white) or sumi (black) pigments. If you are familiar with koi, you could compare Gin Rin koi with Hikarimono and Hikarimoyo koi which are metallic fish with one colour, or multiple colours, respectively. The metallic of the Hikari koi is from the skin of the koi having a lustre or sheen to it. Meanwhile, the Gin Rin is a scale type and the glitter effect is only on the scales of the koi. So, the difference between Gin Rin and Hikari koi is that the Gin Rin affects the scales of the fish while the Hikari affects the skin of the koi.

Great Interactive Toy
Color: Blue
This toy is amazing for keeping my dog entertained and active! The movement feature really grabs my dog’s attention, and he loves chasing and playing with it. It is strong and durable, and the design is very cute.
It’s also great for preventing boredom, especially when my dog has extra energy. The battery lasts a good amount of time and it was very easy to set up. My dog plays with it every day and hasn’t gotten tired of it.
I highly recommend this toy to anyone who wants a fun and interactive way to keep their dog happy and busy!

My dog has chewed through so many heavy chewers toys but he loves this ball and he has not tried to bite through it. Keeps him busy 15-20 minutes

Pricey otherwise enjoyable
Color: Red
Ball is made of a durable type material kinda like a foam only not chewable, at least not yet
Very entertaining and has a whining noise, it does bounce a little bit and moves somewhat when nudged by dog. Bouncy. Not a very high bounce so it keeps close to ground. The ball was fully charged when it arrived and has entertained her for about an hour now that she has settled down so it did what I hoped it would do, to keep herself busy to the point of being tired. At best I would not leave this lying around for heavy chewing use only for entertainment or play time.

Mostly Good toy. Could be great.
Color: Blue
The ball looks well made and the dog absolutely loves it. He can't stop playing with it. It's awsome to see. The only problem, abd it's a big one, is that we can't open the ball to turn it off. The two halves are stuck together and don't budge. I'll wait until battery dies and try then.

Entertaining
Color: Blue
This smart ball is a great toy for your dog. It’s the perfect size for most dogs and it’s made of durable material that chewing doesn’t hurt. It’s easy to charge and will run for hours. It’s very quiet and has 3 modes of play to choose from, rolling, bouncing or a combination of both to keep them (and you) entertained for hours.
