Salim bin Ghabaisha, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, holds a length of rope and a leather water bag. This image was taken during Wilfred Thesiger's journey from Al Ain to Liwa oasis, Al Dhafra and Baynunah sands in November and December 1948.Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
