The Benguela takes its name from the ocean current off South Africa's west coast—an environment both harsh and beautiful, known for claiming many wayward ships. Designed as a professional-grade diving instrument, this tool watch embodies the ruggedness of the dive tools you rely on.

Its case features an offset knurled crown at 4 o'clock for comfort, while the Helium Escape Valve (HEV) at 2 o'clock equalizes internal pressure after extended dives at extreme depths. The hooded lugs offer a modern take on lesser-known vintage dive brands, giving the watch a distinct and aggressive character. On the case back, a deeply engraved sea monster, inspired by the South African Paper Nautilus myth, adds a touch of folklore.

The dial is meticulously crafted with bead-blasted steel slabs set atop a sandwich dial, creating incredible depth. After dark, the markers glow brightly thanks to a generous application of X1-Old Radium Swiss Super-LumiNova™, and the custom date wheel is also luminous for easy reading in low light.

Powered by the reliable Swiss-made ETA 2824-2 movement, the Benguela features 25 jewels, a 38-hour power reserve, Incabloc shock protection, and both hacking and hand-winding capabilities. The solid stainless steel bezel, with its precise 120-click mechanism, offers a secure and dependable feel, and a luminous pip at 12 o'clock marks the start time of a dive.

Each Benguela watch comes standard with a bead-blasted bracelet featuring a micro-adjust clasp, along with a natural rubber strap ideal for water sports. For a more casual look, a thick leather strap is also available.

Just linear
Format: Paperback
I appreciate that it helps to organize the chaos of information, but I just used the template verbatim with my manager and it did not go very well. He said this linear approach does not work anymore with high-level corporate audiences. They want to cut right to the chase and start to dig into the deep details. This layout with simple images, even if you just pull away the map and anchor slides, makes the storytelling too much like a story, not giving enough credit to the speed at which certain audiences can and do process data on a slide. It was an interesting exercise and I still think this linear layout works in some cases. Just not if you are trying to communicate business case or other C-suite type of information.

Good and thorough!
Format: Paperback
I was amazed to see a thick book arriving in the package and spent quite some time reading this. The book is so hands-on. I build agentic systems at work and going through these concepts felt good. My only complaint is that the code snippets are not up to date for which I had to edit my code several times.
