Під зіркою Давида. Єврейські національні формування в Україні у 1917–1920 роках Книжка 'Під зіркою Давида' присвячена юнакам-євреям, які прагнули створення власної держави. У 1917 році переважна більшість єврейского населення колишньої Російської імперії брала активну участь у революційних подіях. Значна частина єврейської молоді поступила до червоної гвардії та отримала більшовицькі партквитки. І лише незначна кількість євреїв, переважно — з Півдня та Заходу України, скористалась революційними можливостями, аби порушити питання про переселення до Палестини — з метою створення власної держави.

Прихильники єврейської державності — сіоністи, пліч-о-пліч співпрацювали з діячами молодої української республіки. У складі УНР планувалося створення національно-персональної єврейської автономії, функціонувало міністерство єврейських справ і навіть були сформовані збройні загони сіоністського спрямування. Чимало сіоністів загинуло у боротьбі за свої ідеали. Ті хто вижили, у листопаді 1919 року скористались можливістю, та відплили на пароплаві 'Руслан' з Одеси до Палестини. Фактично, з пасажирів 'Руслану' і почалась історія державотворення Ізраїлю. Для всіх, хто цікавиться українською історією.
