Ancient Greeks and Romans used licorice root for health benefits. Traditional Chinese Medicines relied on licorice to provide respiratory, digestive and reproductive system support. Today it grows well across Europe and Asia.
Licorice root is an adaptogen, offering energizing properties and support during times of occasional stress.
RECOMMENDED USE
Take 2 capsules with a meal three times daily.
Licorice Root Extract: Take 20–25 drops (1 ml) with water three times daily.
One ml is equal to 2 capsules of licorice root.
Note: Licorice can gradually increase sodium retention so long-term users of licorice should add a potassium supplement and reduce salt use.
Diabetics should avoid licorice root which is very sweet.
