Bom Dia ' 10 Years aged Tawny Port 'Nabij het treinstationnetje van Ferro, in de Cima Corgo, het hart van de Dourovallei, ligt Quinta do Bom Dia hoog op de hellingen. Het gebouw dateert maar liefst uit 1640 en sinds 1846 wordt hier al port gemaakt. Sindsdien is er niet veel veranderd: het uitzicht op de wijngaarden en de rivier is nog even wijds, de opbrengsten zijn nog steeds laag en de druiven worden met de hand geoogst en daarna in de traditionele granieten lagares met de voeten

Beschrijving: Gerijpte rode port, minimaal 10 jaar oud, gerijpt op eikenhout, gedroogd fruit als vijgen en rozijnen.

Lekker bij: Kaas, desserts met noten en karamel.

Leuk weetje: De port rijpt in kleine houten vaten die voor 80% gevuld zijn. Hierdoor komt de port in aanraking met lucht en start het oxidatieproces. Bij een 10 year old tawny port heeft dit proces 10 jaar geduurd.
