The initial letter is subtle but clear, and it doesn't feel overly heavy around your neck. Why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5: The only real downside is that the chain is very thin and delicate. You definitely have to be careful not to yank it, and I wouldn't recommend sleeping in it or wearing it in the shower if you want the gold plating to last. It’s also smaller than it looks in some of the product pictures, so just make sure your expecting something truly miniature and "dainty." This is a cute necklace that I ordered for my daughter. This necklace is nice because it's decent quality but I wouldn't be devastated if it broke or got lost. The initial is nicely made and the chain is delicate. It's the perfect size for my 7 year old and I think my 11 year old would also like it. When I ordered it, it was $15 but now there is a coupon to make it $12 which is a great value. I would buy it for myself if it was silver. It comes in a nice box that makes it great for gifting.
