De Petromax Perkomax percolator is gemaakt voor het zetten van koffie of thee boven open vuur, een gasstel of kampvuur. Het principe is eenvoudig: het water in de ketel warmt op, stijgt via een buis omhoog en sijpelt door het koffie- of theegoed in de filterhouder bovenin. Zo wordt de drank langzaam en gelijkmatig gezet, zoals dat hoort bij een echte percolator.

De percolator is volledig gemaakt van roestvrij staal, stevig genoeg voor buitengebruik en makkelijk schoon te maken. Met 1,5 liter inhoud is hij geschikt voor 1 à 4 personen.
