M&K Sound X10+

Nieuwe koolstofvezel wooferconussen zijn ontwikkeld voor alle modellen met ultrahoge sterkte en stijfheid om het extra vermogen en de excursie van de nieuwe X+ serie aan te kunnen. M&K Sound's eigen CNC-bewerkte, geëxtrudeerde aluminium Distortion Killer Shorting Rings garanderen ook absolute controle en vervormingsvrije, voorbeeldige prestaties in alle instellingen.

M&K Sound's iconische Push-Pull subwooferarchitectuur en "reversed double driver" niet-isobarische configuratie betekenen dat beide drivers in de kast zijn 'blootgesteld' aan kamerlucht. Bijgevolg zijn de modellen van de X+ Serie, net als de vorige X-Series, in feite twee subwoofers in één kast, waardoor de vervorming nog verder kan worden teruggedrongen. Dit is mogelijk doordat de ene driver omgekeerd is ten opzichte van de andere, waardoor niet-lineariteiten worden geannuleerd en volledig symmetrische golfvormen worden geproduceerd.

De X15+, X12+ en X10+ hebben allemaal een volledige 25 mm MDF constructie en verstevigingen voor verwaarloosbare paneeltrillingen of kastresonanties, en een verhoogde ventilatie aan de basis van de woofers vermindert vervorming door luchtturbulentie. Deze gefreesde holtes fungeren ook als handige handgrepen voor een efficiënte installatie.

M&K's functie en vorm bestaan harmonieus naast elkaar

Cosmetische aanpassingen voor de X+ Series komen in de vorm van verzonken frontschotten en handige onzichtbare magnetische roosterbevestigingsmechanismen. De nieuwe subwoofers, die harmoniëren met de gedurfde maar Scandi-coole looks van de M&K S150 en S300 luidsprekers, bieden schonere lijnen en meer discrete gebogen randen als aanvulling op woonkamers of speciale home cinema kamers.

At the back of the book you can look them up by category, such as prayers for courage, or fear, etc. I am surprised at how many I have memorized, and how much they affect my thoughts throughout the day.

A Beautiful Resource

Eknath Easwaran was a wonderful teacher who taught passage meditation, memorizing and repeating to oneself sacred writings. These writings are drawn from many of the great religious traditions. In the last few years of my aging mother's life, she and I spent many hours reading these passages together, meditating on them, and discussing them. We had our favorites and when one of us was travelling, we would agree to meditate on one or two particular ones at the same time wherever we were. At her death, I recited many of these passages to her to bring her peace. She died more than a decade ago but these passages still evoke that beautiful time in my mind and I am grateful for this beautiful resource of passages. I find that everything in this book is a source of peace when I read and meditation on it.

Printed version would have been better

The reason I gave "God Makes the Rivers Flow" 4-stars, instead of 5-stars, is a reflection on my choice to get the Kindle Edition. I love my Kindle. But, this book would be better to flip though, not to read like a novel. I think a printed version would have been a better choice. I have a lot of respect for Eknath Easwaran. He did not just tolerate diversity, he genuinely valued diversity. His works are a great way to bring traditions and peoples together, not only by showing what they have in common (although that is valuable too), but by cerebrating the ways that they differ. His works demonstrate that each tradition has noticed something about God that others did not, and they all add value to humanity's global relationship with God. "God Makes the Rivers Flow" is a great example of that.
