Hoe werkt de reflectie van de VALKENTAL beanie?

De beanie heeft fijn geïntegreerd reflecterend materiaal door de hele stof heen, waardoor je vanuit alle hoeken zichtbaar bent als licht op de muts valt. Dat is anders dan een losse reflecterende strip — de reflectie zit in het materiaal zelf en gaat niet verloren bij wassen.

Welke kleur reflecteert het beste?

De witte en oranje versie reflecteren het sterkst. De zwarte versie heeft circa 30% minder reflectievermogen dan de witte, maar is overdag het meest discreet. Kies wit of oranje als maximale zichtbaarheid je prioriteit is, kies zwart of grijs als je de beanie ook overdag ingetogen wilt dragen.

Past de beanie ook onder een fietshelm?

Ja. De beanie weegt slechts 49 gram en is dun genoeg om comfortabel onder een fiets-, ski- of motorhelm te dragen. De dunne pasvorm zorgt ervoor dat de helm normaal blijft zitten.

Is de VALKENTAL beanie ook geschikt voor hardlopen en wandelen?

Absoluut. De lichte constructie (49 gram) en het ademende acrylmateriaal maken de beanie geschikt voor alle outdoor activiteiten waarbij zichtbaarheid in het donker belangrijk is — fietsen, hardlopen, wandelen of skiën.

Hoe was ik de reflecterende beanie?

Was de beanie op maximaal 30°C met een fijnwasprogramma en droog de muts plat om de vorm te behouden. Leg de beanie nooit in de droger — de hitte beschadigt het reflecterende garen waardoor het reflectievermogen afneemt.

Is de beanie een erkend veiligheidsmiddel?

Nee. De VALKENTAL reflecterende beanie is een modeproduct en geen persoonlijk beschermingsmiddel (PBM) volgens EN ISO 20471:2013. De beanie vergroot je zichtbaarheid aanzienlijk, maar vervangt geen officieel gecertificeerde veiligheidskleding.

Here's what I like: Appearance. I like the color and how it looks on my bed. It looks appropriate for a king sized bed. Removable cover. It was easy to take the cover off and wash, which I appreciate because I like my bedding to smell fresh and clean. What I don't like: It is a bit softer than I would like. But I can live with it. I thought it was a foam pillow inside, not fill. Maybe my fault though for not reading description or reviews. Quality. This is the biggest issue driving the rating. I removed the over upon opening the item so I could wash it. The buttons are attached the the inside cover. When removing the outside cover, you have to unbotton them. They are not secured well at all. From what I can tell the threading goes through the inside cover through the fill to the button on the opposite side. I suspect this because 4 buttons came off when I removed the outside cover. They are very loosely secured to each other. Be gentle when removing and replacing the cover. Now I will have to thread the buttons again and secure it. Just a pain for a brand new item. Should I expect that for the cost of the item? I dunno. Could have been a higher rating, but, damn those buttons.
