Alle objecten van Sophia vertonen ongelijke, intuïtieve vormen en zijn met de hand geschilderd door Marie Michielssen zelf. De spontane, energieke tekeningen in blauwe inkt zijn geïnspireerd op Oosterse kalligrafie, waarin de ingeving van het moment een belangrijke rol speelt. Door al het handwerk vertoont elk object unieke imperfecties die ieder stuk bijzonder maken.
