Deze kamers hebben een ideale greep over de volle breedte aan zowel de voor- en de achterzijde. Hierdoor is die gemakkelijk te tillen!

Gemodificeerd Hout

De broedkamer is gemaakt van hydro-thermisch gemodificeerd hout. Door het transformeren behaald het een hoge duurzaamheidsklasse (vergelijkbaar met red cedar) en wordt het stabieler en minder zwaar. Daarbij worden de warme uitstraling en de subtiele vlamachtige tekeningen in het hout geaccentueerd. Gemodificeerd hout is onderhoudsarm en hoeft niet afgewerkt te worden. Op den duur kan het hout licht vergrijzen.

Voorwaarden houten bijenkasten en onderdelen

De kenmerken van hout

Hout is een natuurproduct. Dit betekent dat natuurlijke eigenschappen zoals barsten, scheuren en werking niet per se leiden tot afkeuring van het product. Hout is een natuurproduct dat continu verandert. Het Bijenhuis levert bijenkasten en onderdelen van verschillende houtsoorten. Belangrijk om te weten is dat hout continu verandert door warmte, vocht, luchtdrukverschil en licht. Dit wordt ook wel de ‘werking’ van hout genoemd. Weersomstandigheden en andere invloeden van buitenaf kunnen de structuur, kwaliteit en kleur van hout beïnvloeden. Zo vergrijst hout door zonlicht en als het nat wordt zet het uit en als het droog wordt krimpt het. Hierdoor kunnen er spanningen ontstaan waardoor het hout kromtrekt of kan scheuren. De mate waarin dit gebeurt is niet te voorspellen. Dat is geheel afhankelijk van de verschillende (weers-)omstandigheden. Omdat hout een echt natuurproduct is, kunnen we geen garantie geven wat betreft verkleuring, scheuren en kromtrekken van bijenkasten en onderdelen.

Let er bij vurenhout op dat dit behandeld dient te worden met verf alvorens het buiten geplaatst wordt.

Came in skeptical, but it's GREAT!
I read all the bad reviews I could on this thing and considered it an acceptable risk considering the price. Assembly was easy and the instructions were fair. Not amazing, but once you handle the edger, the gist is clear. I was skeptical overall that the horsepower and plastic guard weren't going to be enough. I ran it for nearly 45min stopping every 5 or so to check the blade and guard. It stayed tight and I was able to manually turn the blade to make sure it was working right. My front yard and sidewalk have been neglected for a few years. I would sometimes edge it out with the weed Wacker, but couldn't get it as clean as I wanted without breaking a LOT of line. When I was done, I noticed the guard had a lot of soil and grass buildup that I was able to take out easily with my fingers. There were a few times I scraped the sidewalk edge, but the blade is still solid and ready for more! I was surprised at the quality and as you're going over an area, it feels solid and not squirly or out of control. My uses are going to be mostly suburban maintenance on my own yard. If I had more land or something bigger, I would consider something larger. For my yard and purposes, this edger is going to work just fine! Did not notice any issues with the blade getting loose, but stayed aware of it. There is a lock nut that keeps it in place. I imagine over time and switching blades, this is going to lose its locking function, but I already see amazon has replacement blades that come with new lock nuts!

A great device with some minor issues
In a nutshell, kindle was created to give a comfortable reading experience, and it does a great job on that front. I feel like other aspects of the device were compromised. Good: - The screen is very clear. It feels like I'm reading from a real book - but with clearer text then I've seen in any real book. - There are no distractions. This is a very big advantage over reading from the free app on my phone, where I constantly find myself pausing from the book to check up on one thing or another. - The screen is wider and shorter than a standard phone. I find this to be much more comfortable to read from. Bad: - The device is sluggish. - The scrolling isn't continuous like on a smart-phone. - At 6'', the screen is smaller than most modern phones (but it doesn't feel small when you read from it). - There's no option to change the page color. - There's a limited selection of inbuilt fonts (but it's quite easy to add new ones). - The charger is the old micro-USB, and not the more modern USB-C. This means that I can't charge it from my phone's charger. - The screen is not colorful. I think this makes the book covers look bad. - Kindle is surprisingly stingy with memory. Considering how cheap flash drives are, I'd expect that kindle would either provide us with more memory, or at least make it cheaper to upgrade (it's currently about 100$ to upgrade to 32GB, when a 64GB flash drive is 10$).

Perfect device for reading
Bought it on prime day 7th Aug 2021. Used it for two months and it functions very well. Pros: 1. Clearly seen under the sunshine - I usually bring it out to the balcony in my office for reading. Long battery life - I usually turn it to airplane mode while reading which saves a lot of batteries. Can’t think of any cons so far. A 100 score device considering it’s a 2018 product!
