Training Location:

Minimum Participants:
A minimum of 8 participants is required to request onsite training.
Duration:
- 8 hours of in-person instruction (including coffee and lunch breaks)
Course Overview:
This course is ideal for individuals seeking entry-level first aid certification to respond to workplace injuries and medical emergencies. Training includes hands-on practice, real-life scenarios, and essential first aid techniques aligned with WorkSafeBC standards.
Completion Requirements:
To successfully complete the course, participants must:
✔ Attend the full course and actively participate in all sessions
✔ Demonstrate competency in all required first aid skills
✔ Achieve a minimum passing grade of 70% on a multiple-choice exam
Certification:
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a WorkSafeBC Basic First Aid certification, valid for 3 years.
Course Content:
Participants will gain foundational first aid knowledge and practical skills, including:
✅ Basic Life Support (CPR-A) & AED Use
- Effective response to cardiac and respiratory emergencies
- Proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
✅ Small Wound Management
- Treatment of minor cuts, scrapes, and soft tissue injuries
- Infection control and bandaging techniques
✅ Critical Airway, Breathing & Circulatory Interventions
- Airway obstruction relief and breathing support
- C-Spine management for spinal injuries
This course provides the fundamental first aid skills needed to respond confidently in workplace emergencies, ensuring compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations.
