Our cutaway maple/spruce Grand Concert has been revoiced to be richer, warmer and more complex, adding extra depth to the Grand Concert body’s natural clarity and top-end chime. Tone-enhancing strokes include a new back bracing profile, a torrefied (specially roasted) top that yields wonderfully aged tonal character, protein glues that optimize the tonal transfer, and an ultra-thin, 3.5-mil gloss finish to enhance the acoustic resonance. Together with a hand-friendly short-scale neck, the 612ce sounds and plays like a dream. A hand-rubbed “Brown Sugar” stain on the back and sides gives maple’s striking figure a beautiful violin-hued appearance. Featured appointments include new grained ivoroid Wings fretboard inlays, an inlaid ebony backstrap, ebony binding with grained ivoroid purfling, an ebony/grained ivoroid rosette, and a striped ebony pickguard, with Taylor’s stage-ready Expression System® 2 pickup onboard.

Light commercial grade quality

This VERSARE hush screen portable divider appears to be well made and of light commercial grade quality. The lightweight aircraft aluminum frame and black fabric panel aren’t as heavy duty as the commercial grade steel panels of years past, but this panel certainly has adequate durability for home or office use. The sleek modern style is aesthetically pleasing, definitely appropriate for commercial applications, it doesn’t look cheap, or out of place. It’s freestanding and portable, with optional locking wheels, measuring 4’ wide X 6’ tall. The top panel is made of a clear fluted fiberglass, providing a window for natural light to filter through. I’m currently using it in my home office to partition of a separate workspace for my college student. It works very well for my purpose, I now have two relatively private workspaces in one office. It’s fairly easy to assemble, but the instructions could be more detailed and illustrative. One thing that I don’t like about it, is that the legs only slide in place, but they don’t bolt to the frame, allowing the legs to slide out of place when the panel is lifted up. The problem isn’t as magnified with the wheels installed, because the panel is then rolled, rather than lifted. It would be much easier to lift and move if the legs were bolted in place. But since I won’t be moving the divider very often, it’s not a deal breaker. Overall, I’m very pleased with the quality and look of this portable divider. At just under $555, it’s perhaps a tad bit overpriced, but still a reasonably good value. I recommend this VERSARE portable divider for home or office applications.
